In a world of ever changing demand to provide superior customer service Power Companies, Municipalities, Co-ops and Private Electric Utility Providers can see the value in keeping their outside plant upgraded. Planetary Subsurface Utilities specializes in full loop replacements paralleling the existing system as not to interfere with electric service.
Orientating the homeowner to the construction schedule is paramount. This is accomplished by door knockers being placed with an initial start up letter describing a brief description of the construction providing examples of what to expect and arming the residents with phone numbers and email addresses for contact in the event they have questions or are in need of assistance. The communication process does not stop there. Follow up letters around the 50% range of completion are sent out. We actually begin to establish a relationship with the homeowner; we notify them of not only the construction schedule but the restoration schedule is also a hot topic. Once we have reached the completion stages an exit letter is sent out to encourage the homeowners to inspect the restoration and as always we will work diligently to gain their satisfaction. We found that providing this service is viewed as an asset to our clients. Our intent is not to derail the communication process between the homeowner and their utility provider but to simply act as a buffer solving problems in the field to provide a superior service to our client & ultimately respecting the home owner.
The preferred method of placement is by directional bore. This is chosen to minimize the impact on the homeowners living in established neighborhoods. The harsh challenges that accompany rock projects can be expedited quickly by the use of mechanical down hole motors with specialized tooling. This is appealing to our clients due to the speed and cleanliness in which we are able to return the neighborhood back to its original condition leaving them with the state of the art electric distribution system.
Planetary's underground line crews are capable of working in many different environments from single service installation/maintenance and repair to full ductbanks, manhole systems, three phase underground feeders and substation getaways. Our crews stand ready as an asset for you to provide a high level of customer service.
